Helsinki is one of these places you don’t think much of until you visit. It’s fairly small for a capital but this didn’t keep me from enjoying the city. Maybe it’s the breeze that made me feel so alive on the ferry or meeting strangers in hidden gems who couldn’t be kinder. Helsinki is that kind of place that calls after me, even though it had never been on my travel bucket list. Just a short ferry ride away, you can visit Suomenlinna - an island that has completely enchanted me.
